Shopping in Swindon

Old Town shopping

The Old Town offers a traditional shopping environment, where you will find several long established family businesses situated amongst interesting old buildings, in a network of streets that date back to medieval times. However, despite its name, the Old Town presents what many people want nowadays.

Confidence is flowing back into the area with new businesses, shops and restaurants starting up and adding to the diversity to be found there. Wood Street hosts many specialist shops offering goods and services that you might not find elsewhere. In the heart of the Old Town is the Swindon Museum and Art Gallery housing a very fine collection of modern art.
